A tiered cake should feel like the center of the celebration. I think about the full silhouette first, then I work through the piping, movement, color, and details so both tiers feel connected. It takes patience to make a larger cake feel balanced. The goal is height and drama without losing the soft handmade finish that makes it feel like a Nyah cake.
